During the early hours of the Raccoon City Outbreak, The R.P.D. was attacked by rampaging zombies. Most of the occupants died at the R.P.D., while some attempted to leave and survive in other parts of the city. The Raccoon City Police used to be the foremost protectors of Raccoon City's citizens. The Police Station, which gave onlookers a strong sense of history, constantly had officers heading out to any part of the city that needed assistance. During the virus incident, many officers on the night shift responded to the crisis, but they all died needlessly at the hands of the corrupt police chief Brian Irons, who works secretly for Umbrella. The final moments of these officers can be pieced together with the various notes left throughout the Station.
